April Meeting – Rob Johnson (The Green Legacy)
April 14, 2025 @ 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
This occurs on the second Monday of each month from September through May. Includes a speaker on various topics, discussion/question period, possibly raffles, door prizes and more.
SPEAKER | Rob Johnson (The Green Legacy) |
TOPIC | The Green Legacy is a tree planting program that started in 2004 to celebrate Wellington County’s 150-year anniversary. It has since grown to be the largest municipal tree planting program in North America, with over three million trees planted by community partners. |
DESCRIPTION | “The mission of The Green Legacy program is to strengthen the community’s view towards the value of trees and the environment, creating a green infrastructure to ensure ongoing environmental benefits and help the County adapt to climate change. “ In honour of Arbour week beginning April 25th, the PHS has invited Rob Johnson of the The Green Legacy program to speak with us via ZOOM about the program and hopefully we will be inspired enough to support Canadensis in their efforts to expand it into the Ottawa Valley. |
Participation cost is $5.00 for non-members or click the link below to join and enjoy all meetings and events throughout the year for $10 (individual) or $15 (family).
